Chefs and Winemakers Ryan Levy & Ian Eastveld taught a sold out crowd at Dallas Central Market how to prepare a four course summer menu and pair it with four of their very NICE wines! The menu included Pearl Barley Risotto with Summer Squash, Chicken Confit Cassoulet with Fresh Fava Beans, New York Strip with Shiitake Gorgonzola Cream, and Alsatian Plum Tart with Salted Caramel Almond Ice Cream. The courses were paired with Nice Sauvignon Blanc, Nice Malbec Reserve, Testamento Cabernet Sauvignon by Nice, and Nice Sparkling, respectively.
Chef Ian prepared a delicious 4-course meal paired with Nice Wines, of course. He demonstrated a few of the elements of each dish while Ryan spoke about the production and process of each paired wine. Everyone had a great time and all of us at Nice enjoyed the opportunity to enjoy a great meal, great wine, and a great opportunity to say "Thank you!"
Announcing Stag and Vixen!
We are so excited about our new wines!
The Vixen is a young, “drink now” bottle of wine. It has been very popular with our wine club members at our last few events. Try it now while it lasts! The Vixen has mouth watering flavors of red cherry, ripe strawberry, cranberry, and finishes with hints of herbs and spice. The finish is surprisingly long, making you crave another glass.
The Stag is our first true blend. The Stag is meant to be an all occasion wine for aficionados who enjoy the bold, full bodied character of a Cabernet Sauvignon based blend, but want a wine that is drinkable now and pairs well with cuisine.
The wine exhibits aromas of tobacco, smoke, anise and blackberry. On the palate, rich black currant and black cherry notes intermingle with hints of cocoa, toast, and pepper. This wine is ready to drink now, but will age well and is drinkable through 2020.
