These grapes hail from Dry Creek Valley, the premier Zinfandel growing region in the country. The family that grows it comes from a long line of Italian immigrants, who were among some of the first grape growers in Sonoma County.
The vineyard comprises of old vine Zinfandel planted on a south sloping hillside, which provides strong heat during the day, creating low yielding, optimal fruit that truly represents the distinct terroir of this grape growing region. It’s also eco-friendly: the vineyard is sustainable and dry-farmed, meaning the farming methods impact the earth as little as possible.
This wine is intense and well structured, with a deep garnet color. It explodes with wild berry, dried red currant, licorice, cocoa and brown spice flavors that last through a long, silky finish. Enjoy this wine now or cellar for up to 10 years.
Food Pairing Notes
Zinfandel is a perfect wine to pair with flavorful dishes around the world! On a warm summer evening, pair it with a mouthwatering ribs recipe to complement the wines jamminess. Any other grilled food pairs great with Zin. We also love it with Texmex dishes - whether we're bringing a bottle to our favorite Mexican restaurant to pair with enchiladas, or enjoying a bowl of homemade tortilla soup.
