Leviathan was born of a passion for blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc together, to create a full bodied wine with a character all of its own.  For every new vintage, Andy Erickson chooses fruit from different regions of California, which is why the bottle is labeled simply, California. This makes for a uniquely created wine, turning the entire appellation idea on its head. 

The Leviathan blend is approachable now,  and also built to cellar. It is big, juicy and will satisfy the cravings of our club members who enjoy flashy, extroverted reds. James Suckling gave this 94-points stating "Blackberry and asphalt aromas with some violets and rose petals. Medium to full body. Some carbon to the dark fruit. Tasty and delicious. Chewy now, but we like it already. Drinkable now, but will improve with age." We smell expressive aromas of coffee bean, smoke, dusty rose and fresh baked black cherry pie. Soft tannins envelope intense flavors of dark chocolate, raspberries and cherries. It finishes long, with dark fruit and mouthwatering acidity. Decant for 30 minutes before you devour the Leviathan.  Pair it with Stilton blue cheese or Roquefort Papillon.  You will not be disappointed. Cellarable until 2030.
