This is our very first 50% Howell Mountain and 50% Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon. Following 22 months in French Oak barrels, we aged this wine for an additional 18 months in the bottle to tame the ferocious mountain tannis imparted by the harsh weather conditions at the top of the mountains. This wine is elegant thanks to the extended aging time, but still powerful enough to impress the most discerning critics. We suggest decanting this wine for 40-45 minutes to allow it to reach its full potential. It tastes fantastic now but will also age gracefully until 2035 and possibly longer if stored properly. Limited production. Pair this wine with braised meats, grilled wild game, strong cheeses like Roquefort, Stilton, or Mimolette (Boule de Lille). Cheers!
