About Karla: 
Starting her wine education in San Francisco, Karla worked in restaurants and wine sales, including service training and staff/retail education. A certified sommelier since 2001, Karla saw the burgeoning wine industry on an international scale while working for over a decade with Classical Wines of Spain presenting their portfolio to the US market.

While promoting wineries and vineyards that have stood the test of time, Karla has found a passion for true sustainable practices with vineyard ages averaging nearly 300 years old. “I love telling the stories of unique producers and celebrating their soil, sense of place, and cultural specificity. Good wine can be made without alot of human intervention if consumers are open to the flavors of vinifera grapes suited for each location and climate. My job now is to make sure the consumer is properly introduced".
