Displaying aromas of flower blossom, white peach, passion fruit, guava and candle wax. Flavors of lemon curd and a rich yet bright acidity flow into a long persistent finish. Light straw in color with a green hue, this luxurious wine consists of 41% Grenache Blanc, 26% Marsanne, 17% Roussanne, and 16% Viognier. The grapes are grown at the top of Mount Veeder, along the border with Sonoma. With elevations extending up to 2,600 feet, these vineyards struggle for nourishment and moisture, consistently producing clusters with small berries and intense flavors. Since they are all French varietals, we decided to give the wine a French name, which literally translates to "White Wine", but after one taste you will agree we should have named it "Outrageously Delicious."
Here are the winemakers notes from Ryan & Ian: "Rich, ample and structured on the palate, this wine possesses superb depth and striking aromatic complexity throughout. Orchard fruit like white peaches, aromatic flowers and white pepper are some of the scents that emerge from the glass, but it is the wine's overall feel that really impresses with a silky and persistent finish. This wine is perfect for food pairings like Vegetable Risotto, Stuffed Chicken Breast, and Pork Tenderloin."
