This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is family-farmed on a single, four-and-a-half-acre estate vineyard, Healy Vineyard, on the northwestern edge of St. Helena, a renowned area for growing fine Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Alluvial clay loam provides superb drainage while cooling winds passing between Spring Mountain and the Mayacmas range allow clusters to ripen slowly. Wines crafted from this vineyard's fruit are balanced yet rich, exhibiting lushness and complexity over unbridled power.
Dark black-red in color, this wine has aromas of semisweet chocolate, Bing cherry, mocha, dark chocolate silk pie, and kirsch liquor. The palate is soft and velvety, with flavors of rich red fruit, black cherry, and smoky char intertwined with vanilla on the finish. Cellar for up to 10 years.
Prime flavor expression will be achieved by decanting this powerful wine for 30 minutes before serving. Be sure to buy a few more bottles to cellar until 2028 before they’re gone! We only made 168 cases of this fantastic vintage. Pair with a well-marbled steak or veiny blue cheeses.
